Mourinho Responds Over De Boer’s Rashford Comments

Following the impressive performance of Marcus Rashford in the game against Liverpool, Frank de Boer praised the England international. He added that it is a “pity” that the 20-year old was playing under Coach Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford. The comments certainly angered the Portuguese manager who did not take it lightly.

“I read some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank de Boer – seven matches, seven defeats, zero goals. He was saying that it is not good for Marcus Rashford to have a coach like me, because the most important thing for me is to win,” Mourinho said. Soccer betting is banned in England but not for club owners

Earlier on April of 2017, it was announced that Joey Barton was banned from playing competitive football due some of his actions that the English player committed involving betting on over 1,100 matches. Joey Barton was also fined with a fee of £30,000.

It seems like the same rules that football players have to abide for, club owners don’t necessarily have to follow in the same way.

The Football Association is the governing body of authority in England and they have recently unveiled details which are not as known to the public and it involves club owners being allowed to participate in the world of betting which is what many figures are doing and have been doing for years and even decades.

One example of this is Tony Bloom, the chairman of Brighton & Hove Albion. He is a regular and well-known gambler. His associates established Star Lizard Consulting as a way to provide support for his betting syndicate and it operates like a hedge fund. With over 200 employees which includes traders, analysts and software engineers.

All of those workers were hired in order to provide Tony Bloom with accurate bets on soccer as well as many other sports and this appears to have been going well for the English chairman as he bought a controlling stake in Brighton back on 2009 and has managed to turn the club from competing in League One to their recent promotion into the top tier English Premier League.

Louisa Fyans is a spokeswoman for the Football Association and she revealed details concerning the separate set of rules that club owners have when it comes to betting in the sport as she said: Continue reading “Soccer betting is banned in England but not for club owners”

JANUZAJ DIDN’T SEIZE HIS OPPORTUNITY

Mourinho said that Adnan Januzaj’s future has been decided when queried on just what his plans for the young Kosovo-born was.

Who imagined such a backward growth 4 years after the 22-year old rose above the veterans in the United squad to drag over a win against Sunderland, scoring two goals in the process.

Chants of the new Ronaldo and Messi were rolled out immediately and within a short time then coach DavidMoyes got him to commit to a 5-year deal in a desperate attempt to shield the young light away from the elite predators of European football. It was the time when the Red Devils were facing the prospect of having a heavy crash off their perch as Moyes’ first season in the club kept looking like a nightmare.

United’s abject display for much of the first season in the post-Ferguson era connived to give Januzaj the kind of opportunities hardly bestowed on teenagers anywhere in the world much less a club of United’s stature.

The following season under was expected to be a proper break out season for the youngster.Unfortunately, by January,he was on the plane to Borussia Dortmund for the rest of the season. A return of 6 appearances and 0 goals showed Adnan didn’t fare better in Germany. Continue reading “JANUZAJ DIDN’T SEIZE HIS OPPORTUNITY”

MOURINHO DEFENDS RASHFORD

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has risen in defence of his striker Marcus Rashford despite the criticisms against him.

Before finding his form in front of goal recently, Rashford scored just one goal from the start of the New Year until early April.

On the other hand, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw have both been publicly criticized by Mourinho for their performance within the same period. Mourinho explained his management style, saying:

“It is not a psychological approach. It is common sense. When you give everything you have, I cannot demand more from you. Marcus, even when not performing especially well, he was giving absolutely everything. I could never demand more from him.”

Mourinho added that he only needed to encourage him to do more but that he was largely happy with the performance of the player. Continue reading “MOURINHO DEFENDS RASHFORD”

IAN WRIGHT HITS OUT AT GARRY MONK FOR BURST UP

Former Arsenal striker, Ian Wright has massively criticized Leeds United head coach, Gary Monk for his actions after the 37-year-old got in the way of Huddersfield boss, David Wagner during the Yorkshire derby game in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.

The game at the John Smith’s stadium was leveled 1-1 entering into the final minutes, but Terriers defender, Michel Hefele produced a late goal that sparked celebrations from the crowd.

Huddersfield boss sprinted the entire length of the touchline to celebrate with his players. Much angered by the reaction, the former Swansea boss, Monk stepped in front of the German tactician as he ran past him leading to a brawl between both sets of the teams.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live, Wright slammed Monk for such an unprofessional display as he backed Wagner for his celebrations. Wright said he believed Monk deliberately stepped into Wagner’s path, sparking the confrontation. Continue reading “IAN WRIGHT HITS OUT AT GARRY MONK FOR BURST UP”
